The next BJC will be held in Nottingham in 2011 their website will appear at [1] in due time.
The decision to go to Nottingham was decided via an online vote - see the forum for the discussion and vote.
The most recent British Juggling Convention was BJC 23, Huddersfield, 2010.

BJC History

The first British Juggling Convention was a two day convention in London in 1988. Since then it has moved around the UK to a different location each year, run by a different organising team, reaching a high of over 2000 attendees in Coventry in 1992.
More historical facts and figures, as well as a map of locations, can be found on the BJC History page. If you've got more BJC information, stories or anecdotes, please feel free to add them!

How does the BJC work? What's involved in running one?

If you have no idea at all, start with How is the BJC organised?, an overview of the organisational structure, which is mainly conspicuous by its absence.

If you think you might like to run a BJC near you, Do you have what it takes? gives you an idea how you can work out whether a bid would be feasible.

What needs doing? is a very detailed exploration of what's required to run a successful BJC.

Being The Boss is an essay on the skills required to be in charge of something like this.

Helpful Little Tips

Using this site

This site is full of user-contributed information about BJC, currently around pages. Anyone can edit anything, and all editors are potentially fallible. Things you read are not gospel, and they are not the statements of any authoritative "BJC organisation". They are opinions and people's (perhaps imperfect) memory of facts. Please don't use anything here as your only source of legal advice. If you see anything that's wrong, please fix it!
