What is this site for?

This site is a publically available repository of information about running a British Juggling Convention. The site is run by the team from BJC 2008 (and much of the content is written by them). Please feel free to add to it if you have relevant things to say; please also put your name to your comments.

We hope this information will be useful to organisers of future BJC's or similar festivals and events.

Articles written here are the opinion of their author. There is no "official" BJC organisation, and different organisers from different years may have different (sometimes strong) opinions!

What other resources are there?

BJC history on Wikipedia

Previous BJC sites: 2006 2008 2009 2010.

The JugConOrg Yahoo Group. Lots of organisers of previous conventions read this list: if you need help or have questions about running a convention, that's the place to ask.

The team from 2007 have a site about BJC

and another wiki(aimed at punters rather than organisers), with a page about organising a BJC

The 2007 team also have a wiki about running a one-day convention.

Finally, there's also a private wiki containing info on running a BJC; for this you'll need to ask the 2007 team for access.

We (the 2008 team) have debated at length the folly of having two wikis for the same thing; but the 2007 people believe strongly in keeping the information private, and we believe equally strongly in making our information public, so we have agreed to disagree.
