Accident books can be obtained cheaply and are a legal requirement for a public event. Every incident that happens needs to be recorded in the book, even if it has been resolved successfully.

The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR), place a legal duty on:

people in control of premises;
