A camp site has a few legal requirements:

  • Risk assessments should be made on all activities

  • You have an obligation to provide ambient lighting at night.
  • You have to have access through the camp site wide enough for a fire engine to gain access.
  • You have to provide "adequate" access to individual tents.
  • There should also be a fire point available on site with a fire safety sign, 2 fire extinguishers and a means of alerting people.
