Here is an example of the security procedure used for BJC 2008

BJC2008 Doncaster Dome Security Procedure

Locations to be secured:

  • Campsite A
  • Campsite B
  • Dome Entrance
  • Mobile


Responsibilities:

  • Campsite A.

Campsite gate to be manned 24hrs a day. Guard to check passes at gate and refuse access to anyone not holding a valid pass. Day passes change colour on a daily basis – guard will be informed of correct colour per day

  • Campsite B

Campsite gate to be manned 24hrs a day. Guard to check passes at gate and refuse access to anyone not holding a valid pass. Day passes change colour on a daily basis – guard will be informed of correct colour per day

  • Dome Entrance

To be manned 24hrs a day. Passes to be checked outside of Dome opening hours. Day passes change colour on a daily basis – guard will be informed of correct colour per day

During opening hours to be in position but not checking passes, to be observing the Forum, overseeing trader security, providing secure backup in case of any issues at registration desk. The Dome entrance security guard also has overnight responsibilities. Outside of registration desk opening hours, the Dome guard will be responsible for issuing temporary overnight passes. If a juggler arrives after midnight the guard is to ask them to go erect their tent. To provide a means of identification. (passport/driving licence/photo id). The guard to ask for that means of identification. And to give in exchange an overnight pass. The juggler is then to return to reg desk at 10am next morning where their id will be returned to them and their registration processed correctly.

  • Mobile.

To be constantly walking the perimeter of campsites A and B and the fence that borders the white marquee plus checking the integrity of those perimeter fences. This guard is also to be prepared to go provide assistance to any of the above 3 should they request it via radio contact.


  • Common Information

All posts are manned 24 hours a day from 4pm Wednesday until 4pm Sunday.

All passes either last the entire duration of the event or are valid until 10am next morning.

Any changes or alterations to the above are to come from Mini Mansell.

In case of emergencies, Mini can be contacted either via radio contact, or via Mobile Phone ***** ******

Overnight, if needed the security supervisor will be informed of the location of Mini's caravan.
