Here is a table to show some of the major costs of running a BJC, showing how those costs have changed over the years.
There are also more in-depth analysis of the expenses and income for BJC Edinburgh and BJC Nottingham (1997).
Note: when comparing costs, bear in mind BJCs up to 1989 were 2 days, BJCs from 1990 to 1993 were 3 days, BJCs from 1994 to 2006 were 4 days, BJC 2007 was 5 full days, BJCs from 2008 onwards were 5 days (96 hours) except 2011 which was 6.5 days.
